Masskara 2005 goes Southeast Asian
Bacolod City (10 August) — Eli Tajanlangit, Masskara Festival Director said that this year’s Masskara will pave the way for the Southeast Asian Games on November, which is the main even for this year. The theme is: “Masks of Southeast Asia”.
“The coming Masskara Festival on October will sport the Southeast Asian look”, Tajanlangit announced in a meeting of the Tourism and Cultural Development Council recently.
“The whole city will look Southeast Asian”, he added. All establishments in the city, especially the Hotel and Restaurant Association members will be displaying masks and decorations ala Southeast Asia. Even the food served during the period of celebration October 1-19 will echo the theme of the festival. So with the costumes, the dance steps and Southeast Asia musical instruments will also be incorporated into the celebration, Tajanlangit said. More
