Just before the Masskara 2005 Streetdance countdown began, I tried to scour the assembly area to shoot the contingents before they begin the street dance. It is also a good chance for me to strike a pose with the dancers.

An hour before the Highlights
At 1:00PM Saturday & Sunday, the main thouroughfare of Bacolod City was already swarmed with multitudes of people. People from various walks of life. Both local and foreign tourists also joined the crowd. Everybody’s been waiting for the countdown to begin the 2005 Masskara Festival Streetdance competition.

The after effects of Masskara
The Masskara Festival Street Dance is finally over. 3 days of non-stop revelry. Dancers dressed in colorful costumes and very unique masks trooped the city of Bacolod from Friday, until Sunday.
Three days of street dancing has caused some blisters on my foot, sunburned skin, and cough.

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia announced yesterday that the MassKara Festival dancers of the city had topped the foreign entries participating in the Midosuji Festival parade in Osaka, West Japan Sunday.

Nasa Bacolod na ako! Di ko na talaga ma pigilan ang excitement ko. Masskara
Festival na!!! Walang katapusang sayawan, kainan at inuman kahit saan ka
man. Sa hotel ka man, o restaurant, or sa kalsada, pwedeng pwede ka.
Mas gusto ko mag pakasaya, kumain at uminom sa kalsada at i-enjoy ang street
