The Mandaya tribeswomen traditionally makes their hand-woven cloth called dagmay out of abaca fibers. These cloth are then usually made into clothes, bags, wallets, table runners or placemats.

MassKara Festival opens today
The 26th MassKara Festival will open at 8:30 a.m. today at the Bacolod public plaza, and will coincide with the start of the Bacolod City Division Athletic and Cultural Meet.
The festival opening will be keynoted by Chairman Bayani Fernando of the Metro Manila Development Authority.
