Masskara Festival: Moments before the countdown
Just before the Masskara 2005 Streetdance countdown began, I tried to scour the assembly area to shoot the contingents before they begin the street dance. It is also a good chance for me to strike a pose with the dancers.

An hour before the Highlights
At 1:00PM Saturday & Sunday, the main thouroughfare of Bacolod City was already swarmed with multitudes of people. People from various walks of life. Both local and foreign tourists also joined the crowd. Everybody’s been waiting for the countdown to begin the 2005 Masskara Festival Streetdance competition.

The after effects of Masskara
The Masskara Festival Street Dance is finally over. 3 days of non-stop revelry. Dancers dressed in colorful costumes and very unique masks trooped the city of Bacolod from Friday, until Sunday.
Three days of street dancing has caused some blisters on my foot, sunburned skin, and cough.
But the part is not yet over. There will a Masskara Fantasy Costume fashion show tonight at the Fountain of Justice, right in front of the Bacolod City Hall. After the fashion show, comes the real show: Another round of street parting until the wee hours in the morning.
At what time the party usually ends? Well, I usually go home at 6 in the morning. You still have enough time to reast for the next day’s activities.
Masskara Streetdance photos will be posted soon!!
