Guimaras: The hidden treasure of Western Visayas

Guimaras has been called the hidden trasure of Western Visayas. A tiny island province of approximately 604.7 sq. km. located between the islands of Panay and Negros. Guimaras is the 3rd smallest province in terms of population at 141, 450. 92% of its residents are Ilonggos, speaking the Hiligaynon dialect. (2000 Census)

Despite its size, Guimaras competes head-to-head with other provinces in terms of product exports. This province is home to the world’s sweetest mango. It’s produce being exported to other countries, and are reported served at the dining tables of White House and Buckingham Palace.

Aside from the best mangoes, Guimaras is also blessed with a super fine, white sand beach. There are a number of resorts around the province, and accomodations are cheap too! Usual activities are snorkelling, island-hopping, beach volleyball, or just simply sun-bathe under the golden sun.

Tagaytay Flowers in Bloom

I took this photo last year when I was in Tagaytay City. 55 kilometers south of Manila. Tagaytay, is a third class city of the province of Cavite. The city has been dubbed as the second summer capital of the Philippines, next to Baguio because of its cool climate all year round.

My camera’s back to normal! Woooo! I had just started doing a photoshoot this afternoon, and i am trying to finish a series that I will be releasing sometime April. Watch Out! I have to do practice shoots again, before I join the Workshop this June.
