Pana-ad sa Negros 2006

Negors Occidental will once again shine at its brightest as the province is gearing for the upcoming “Panaad sa Negros Festival”.
The world-renowned Masskara Festival of Bacolod City
Panaad is a Hiligaynon word meaning, Promise. The festival is touted as the province’s mother of all festivals.
This year’s edition is slated April 22-30. No less then Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal - Arroyo has been invited to grace the festival.
Experiencing the Pana-ad Festival is like touring the entire Negros Occidental in just one sitting. The highlights of the festival include: trade fairs from various Negros towns and cities, amateur singing competition, drum and bugle corps contest, the Lin-ay sang Negros (Lady of Negros) beauty Pageant, and the grand festival showdown from various towns and cities.
Exprected to join this year’s Grand Festival competition are:
Masskara of Bacolod, Babaylan of Bago, Dinagsa of Cadiz, Mamlambus of Escalante, Himaya-an of Himamaylan, Sinulog of Kabankalan, Pasalamat of La Carlota, Sinigayan of Sagay, Pintaflores of San Carlos, Pasaway of Sipalay, Minuluan of Talisay, Silaynon of Silay and Malihaw of Victorias, the Lumbayag of Binalbagan, Hudyaw of Calatrava, Pabalhas sa Tablas of Candoni, Lubay-Lubay of Cauayan.

Also joining this years festivities arethe Kali-Kalihan of Don Salvador Benedicto, Ugyonan of EB Magalona, Hinugyaw of Hinigaran, Pagbana-ag of Hinoba-an, Tigkalalag of Isabela, Kisi-Kisi of Ilog, Bailes de Luces of La Castellana, Pinta Puto of Manapla, Magayon of Moises Padilla, Tinabu-ay of Murcia, Ponte Piedra of Pontevedra,Salapan of Pulupandan, Sag-ahan of Toboso, Bulang-Bulang of San Enrique and Humay-Humay of Valladolid.
The search for Lin-ay sang Negros 2006 will be held on April 29 at the Pana-ad Park and Stadium.

proud to be from bacolod, and proud that the pana-ad festival was conceived to unite the negros occidental cities and towns and to showcase everything the province can offer.

was there…done this, done that, love the beautiful produce each town/city of negros occidental has to offer…sad to say can’t be there to watch the pagenr as we left days before. My daughter Anne Roxanne Mallari was one of the beauties in 2000, she was Ist Runner-up representing Silay City.
Was I very proud of her……and I’m pretty sure is the rest of the mothers of these previous and future candidates of Lin-ay sg Negros.

haaay..grabe sng pag PANAAD ara koda amon balay ara gid sa mansilingan walking distance going to panaad complex. grabe man ka gutok during sng PANAAD 2006 even the road is a wide and also the stadium. ill try ko naman this coming masskara mabakasyon koda..
