Signs of the time

This is my entry for this weeks Photo Friday Weekly Photo Challenge. This week’s theme is Poverty.

My photograph shows an old man blowing bubbles to attract the attention of the promenaders at the Baywalk, Roxas Boulevard in Manila, Philippines for his assorted items on sale. Quite a number of Filipinos today live below the poverty line index. A sad reality the goverment needs to address.

it’s really sad, and what’s worse is that i just feel so helpless. i hope that in our own little ways, we can do something to help.

its really depressing to see folks like these roaming the streets. Let’s admit it.. this is an eyesore. but the problem is: Is our government acting to resolve this eyesore?
