108th Philippine Independence Day

After 333 years of being under the Spanish rule, our country was finally set free when some brave men and women fought against the Spanish Regine.
108 years after the Philippine flag was raised in Kawit, the question now is: Are we finally free?
Do you still know who shed blood, sweat, and tears in order for you to be free? Do you still give importance to them?
When was the last time you sang the national anthem? Can you still recite the Panatang Makabayan?
Have you learned your lessons from the past?
As our nation celebrates her 108th year of freedom, let us all think and look back at what happened in the past.
We could not have gotten what we wanted if not because of our heroes. We must be thankful for giving us the freedom in order for us to express our feelings, our sentiments; freedom in order for us to have our voices be heard by our leaders; freedom to speak whatever we want to.
As what Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino said, The Filipinos are worth dying for. Let us not put to waste the hard work that has been done by our leaders in the past.
