Flying with fun

Do you know that at one point in time, our country has the most beautiful airline livery? Can you still remember those coloful Cebu Pacific Airline’s DC-9’s aircrafts?

I have been scouring the Internet for some interesting airline liveries, and here are some of my finds. Quite interesting, from a muslim-inspired artwork, to Olympic Games, World Cup down to….cartoons?

Yup, several airlines paint their planes depending on what they want. Most of them, to celebrate an important event. Check out the photos below. All images from Jetphotos.net

World Cup 1998

Delta Express

Gulf Air

Olympic Airways

Qatar Airways

Who would have ever thought that these flying giants can also become a piece of artwork?

Great find. If you’re arriving in Davao, you will find the airport at the tarmac side now enveloped in such a livery is we can call it that.

It is a widely accepted notion among painters that it does not matter what one paints as long as it is well painted. This is the essence of academicism. There is no such thing as good painting about nothing.

try mo magpaint…. nakakarelax din talaga…
