After featuring the contingent from the farthest north of the country (Pamulinawen Festival of Laoag) 2 days ago, I will now be giving space here to the contigent from the down south.
The Halad Festival of Pigcawayan, North Cotabato.
When I first saw them at the assembly area under the trees beside the Quirino Grandstand last Aliwan Fiesta, I was immediately awed by their very colorful costumes and attractive headresses.
But they’re not just an icing on the cake. When they finally performed in frontof thousands of spectators, I was mesmerized by their unique and powerful choreography. They delivered their piece perfectly to the delight of the cheering crowd.
I know some of you have already seen this booboo on national television. But I just can’t imagine how production peeps failed to edit this segment, and still air this number. My goodness.

June 12, 2006, I found myself waking up at very early in the morning. I was not supposed to go to the June 12 parade. I have already informed Julz, that I won’t be there anymore when they perform at the Quirino.
But I really do not know, by twist of fate, I just pushed myself to get a cold shower, and go to Luneta. By 7AM I was already there. I went to the venue without any breakfast or coffee, or bagel or pandesal. My stomach was grumbling, but it’s ok.
