The Cold Blooded pets of Avilon
Posted on July 14, 2006
Continuation of my previous post
3rd in a series
From the Aves section, what captured my attention next is the vast collection of the cold-blooded creatures. From python to alligator, lizards to king cobras, turtles to boas. Also included in this section are the several species of the tarantula spiders.
This is one section that will scare the hell out of you.
The lizards may look cute, but hey! I won’t dare touch them. Hahaha What really gave me the goosebumps are the tarantulas. Man! they’re so big. Kasing laki na ng kamao ko!
The pythons look very interesting. Mind you, I am not afraid of holding these slithering creatures. I do get to touch and hold pythons when I was still in college (my college friend has a pet python before), and when I was still working as a volunteer in a zoo. Pythons don’t bite, unlike the cobras. What they do to attak is squeeze its prey until it runs out of breath. Mamamatay ka sa pagpulupot nya. Its squeezing power is so strong that, I have to move the snake from my left to right hand form time to time.

to be continued…
