Surely, this flower may look beatuful and attractive to you. But beware, don’t be deceived by its looks. This flower has an awful smell. Its smell is so foul that Ilonggos (people from Bacolod and Iloilo) call this flower as “Baho-Baho“. The name of the flower comes from the root word “Baho” meaning foul odor.

I took this photo last June 12 at the Katigbak Parkway. Just a few meters away from the Quirino Grandstand. Flag bearers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines preparing themselves for the annual Independence Day Parade witnessed by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo together with several members of the cabinet.
