   Migo Eric, this year’s Masskara siguro ang pinaka bongga sa lahat, august pa lang grabe na ang preperation ng mga taga bacolod, ang dami ng masskara streamers ang kumalat at meron pang mga pre masskara events.

   sasie, yup this year’s masskara is going to be BIG! really. i know some of the details already pero quiet muna ako para hindi ma spoil ang thrill.

   The music is more slow compare before, sounds like chinese music, a true mardigras music is not like this, bat di nyo ibalik ang dating music like volare, lambada and etc…. ang sagwa ng music……ang ending naging rock music, ano ba yan…..

   the best masskara festival i’d ever seen, it was 1988, 1990, 1991-92…. purely mardigrass gid ya, last 2004-2005, we came home from London to watch the masskara, pero mas maganda ang noon kaysa ngayon…. infairness….. and thats the truth… sa music palang sasayaw kana nun… pero totoo yung sinasabi ko…..

   Mil,

   if u noticed last year’s music was created using the Asian musical instruments because the of the upcoming SEA Games at that time. Bacolod was one of the co-host of the SEA Games.

   this year, having so much progress and development and bacolod, bacolod this year used the theme, masks of the world. If youll notice the music it is a blend of arab, chinese, african, latin and modern beats.

   and IMHO, masskara should not imitate the brazilian mardi gras. masskara should have an image of its own. and a character of its own. it should be unique from other festivals.

    ey padala man sa akon beh ang music sa masskara. been several years already that i was not able to watch the said events coz of work. as mentioned in the previous comments, i agree na mas nami ang music sg una. hope it was like sang una nga music such as lambada and volare. makagalana nga sonata. pa send nalang liwat sang music for this year’s MassKara email add is espera79@yahoo.com… SALAMAT
