One of the newest Central Businsess District in Metro Manila is the Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Over the past 2 or 3 years, prices of business and office spaces here as well as real estate properties have skyrocketed due to the congestion in the Makati and Ortigas area.

Almost every city in the Philippines has its own signature food. Vigan, for example is known for its longganisa (sausage), and empanada. Bacolod is known for its inasal (grilled chicken), Cebu is known for its dried mangoes. Laguna is known for its buko pie.
And for Iloilo City? It’s the La Paz Batchoy.

When one mentions the word “Bacolod food,” What instantly comes into our mind is the Chicken Inasal or the Chicken Bacolod as what people in the Metro Manila calls it.
Inasal, is an Ilonggo word from the root asal , meaning to grill. Thus inasal, can either be a chicken a pork, or fish.

Last week, Glen and I went to Libingan ng mga Bayani. The Libingan has been the final resting place of the Philippine’s heroes as well as soldiers who served under the Philippine Flag. White crosses mark the spot where these galant heroes were interred.
