While the men of the Badjao tribe are busy fishing out in the seas, the women, on the other hand is busy weaving colorful sleeping mats known in the Filipino as banig. The mats usually made from the leaves of a palm tree known as buri

These vibrantly-colored mats are sold at 400-500 pesos each (USD10). Many Filipino prefer sleeping using the banig because of its cooler feel when lying on the back.
