There’s still free lunch
Posted on February 9, 2007
While my friends and I were in the middle of the Dinagyang Festival action, we got a message to proceed to the Iloilo Provincial Capitol for a lunch. Thinking that it was just a casual lunch with friends, we went to the provincial seat of the Iloilo government.

But no, it’s not one of your typical backyard barbecue. The catered buffet lunch was from the Governor/Iloilo Provincial Government! VIPs, aspiring politicians and several members of the invited Press were also there.
Foods and drinks flowed. The food is great. I like the ox tongue, and the ham, and the lechon! Nothing can really beat the taste of an Ilonggo lechon! The desserts are heavenly! The carrot cake is sweet and moist. Leche Flan is simply superb.

Our heavy lunch ended with a brief walk to the Iloilo Museum. Many thanks for inviting us at the Capitol!
