Iloilo trip: The real score

Posted on February 21, 2007

Ok, I have to say this…

The reason why I went to Iloilo for the second time this year is not really because of the Paraw Regatta, or the Chinese New Year. There are certain things that I need to get fixed in Iloilo. In short, I went there on a mission. What’s the mission all about? I’d rather keep it private.

But in all honesty, I enjoyed my trip so much. Being a spoiled brat that I am, I travelled 65 kilometers riding at the back of the jeepney! I can really feel the adrenaline rush while the air is gushing over my face and hair.

I almost got teary-eyed after seeing one of Iloilo’s jewel, after 10 long years. But, yes, all good things come to an end. I was so sad when I left the city. It’s because it could be the last time I’ll be flying out of the Iloilo Mandurriao Domestic Airport. Come April 14, The Iloilo International Airport in Santa Barbara will be opened.

And finally to you…Thank you very much.

Do I hint a sense of loneliness here? I can almost feel it. It’s like you have reached a certain kind of dream… lived it…touched it…felt it…loved it..but in the end kinda let that dream go. ahm rite ric?
