Bacolod City Bandstand

I am not sure if all Bacoleños know the name of this landmark. I bet many would just refer this place as the city plaza. This is the Bacolod City Bandstand.
The Bacolod City Bandstand is located right at the center of the Bacolod City Public Plaza. The Bandstand serves as a stage during concerts, public performances as well as rallies and demonstrations.
This Bacolod landmark was constructed in 1927 to complement the weekly activities being held at the public plaza. Names of world-class composers are etched on every side of the bandstand. Names like Wagner, Haydn, Betthoven will forever be remembered in this city landmark. This is just a proof that even during the early history of Bacolod, its people is already familiar with the European Culture.
