Dumplings, anyone?

Kutsay Dumplings

Admittedly, dumplings is one of my favorite foods. I could even finish several pieces of this bite-sized goodies instantly. Dumplings is a Chinese goodie, which is typically made of meat or vegetable wrapped in a thin dough. Dumplings are perfectly eaten with a warm cup of tea.The photo above shows the kutchay (greenish in color) and pork dumplings.

And where in Manila can you get the best dumplings? Where else but in the country’s Chinatown: Bonindo. Dumplings abound in Binondo, actually. But to get a taste of authentic dumplings, one should head towards Nueva street and look for Dong Bei Eatery.

Dong Bei offers various kinds of dumplings. They have an all-meat and kuchay dumplings. They also have siao long bao, sio pa, sio mai, and a lot lot more. You can even see their staff making the freshest dumplings there.

I’ll be sure to find Dong Bei eatery the next I go to Chinatown. I’ve been looking for a restaurant that serves this kind of dumpling which I can only taste during the Chinese New Year celebration of the Chinese students here at Los Banos. Thanks.

eds, it looks pale kasi the dough used is very thin. and my chinese friend told me that dumplings in Southern China really tastes like the ones in Dong Bei. The owners of the stor is from mainland CN they cant communicate in English or Filipino. you just point at the menu what you want to eat

    :D
