Festival Music
Posted on March 25, 2007
I have tried to upload the music from the various Philippine Festivals. Currently, I have the 1989, 2005 and 2006 Official Streetdance Music of the Bacolod Masskara Festival, The fiesta music from Iloilo City, and the Sinulog Beat from Cebu. I will also try to upload the music from the Pasalamat Festival Drumbeaters soon.
If you have an mp3 (or in any digital format) of any festival music, you can share it here by sending it to enrico.dee at byahilo.com. Full Credits to those who submitted the file.

its good that are able to retrieve the 1990 masskara official music. meron pang isa na mas sikat sa ganitong music at ginamit din nila na official music sseveral time. but i forgot the artist name and the music title.
it makes me feel so good while listening to all the festival music. kanya2x stlye. evolution kung baga. the music itslef can tell the culture and backgroud of one’s festival… good job…
Ang say ng umpisa! parang classic fiesta
i remember my dad during feast of peñafracia, he loves those type of music.. viva!
batuculon> i think you are referring to the masskara 1988 and 1992(?) done by the legendary Trini Lopez.
Yun ba yung may lines na “Thins land is your land, this land is my land, from California to the New York Islands”
I have acopy of that one when i was still in Bacolod, unfortunately, i left my PC in bcd, and dad have it reformatted.
It’s not very ilonggo, but it was still one of my favortes.
yeah… thats what im referring too… and i think that music was been used several times as the official music.
as far as i can think dun talaga nag evolve ng husto ang masskara at way back pa yung may line na “till i came and we wanna go home”, la bamba, lambada, at isa pang carribean song.
sayang nga ano at naawala mo yung copy, pero try mo ask sa masskara foundation at bay center kay sir Eli T. o di kaya sa tourism office nila. kahit mga local soundsystem operators ng bacolod or within negros occidental may copy ng ganung music.
hi enrico. i’m a festival buff. as you know, i’m really an addict to philippine festivals. it’s a good thing that you were able to gather some festival music. please do upload the music of the pasalamat festival drumbeaters as soon as possible. hehehehe. sounds demanding. isn’t it? hehehehe. really, i’m excited to hear their music. by the way, zandro here from cebu.
