Yakan

The Yakan tribe of Zamboanga is known as of the the Philippines’ finest weavers of fabrics. Their goods usually command a higher price in the market. The designs are usually colorful and utlizes the magic of the geometric patterns. Various products are being produced by these Yakan women. Many produces table runners, coasters, wall decor, placemats. they also use their hand woven fabric to make clothes. After visiting Zamboanga City recently, I foulnd myself buying lots of coin purses and place mats as pasalubong for friends.

Lagi kaming inuuwian ng tita ko ng table runners everytime she comes home from Zamboanga. Magaganda talaga ang mga gawa nila.

Why don’t they export these stuff?
