If there’s one town in the Philippines that’s known for its footwear industry, it is none other than the town of Liliw, Laguna.
The word “Liliw” is almost synomous to the word tsinelas, or sandals. The sandals here, as the store owners proudly declare, are made of strong materials that can last for more than a year. And its cheap too!
Where in the Philippines can you find sandals at 3 for 100pesos, or roughly 35 pesos each. Only in Liliw, Laguna. Dirt Cheap, but well-made.
Designs also vary. There are the plain sandals, and tehre are those with prints, while some are decked with beads, sequins and laces.
