Filipinos are always said to be an enterprising species in this planet. Expect Filipinos to sell you rosaries and prayerbooks in Manila Cathedral, ice cold water and cola in a bus terminal or just like this woman i met last week. Selling hats to beat the scorching heat of the sun during the grand parade of the Aliwan Fiesta 2007 in Quirino Grandstand.
I bet she made a lot of money selling these hats. From the native-type made of buri and anahaw, to the fine knitted type. I’m sure these hats were a sure hit in last week’s occasion.
