Mayon Volcano

When I planned my Bicol trip, I made sure to save the best for last. Early morning on the last day of my Bicolandia trip, I travelled to the town of Daraga in Albay, Philippines to see the best possible view of Bicolandia’s most famous landmark: the Mayon Volcano.
Actually you can see the Mayon Volcano from any point in Albay, Philippines. But the best point is in Daraga. It is in this quiet town where the Cagsawa Ruin is located. Who would ever thought that a beautiful creation we all know as Mayon could bring so much disaster to this place.
This Cagsawa Ruin that we can see today in postcards is the only remnant of what has been a church before. The ruin that many tourists vist is part of the church’s belfry, which was buried hundred of years ago.
wow… ganda talaga ng mayon.. tuwing uuwi kami ng province for some vacation lagi namin nadaanan ang mayon volcano.. and super ganda talaga..
The shot through the belfry almost looks diorama-like. Dunno if that’s a good thing or bad thing, but the shot is definitely unique.
