When we had ourn Laguna Loop Tour last week, we dropped by the town of Kalayaan in Laguna, Philippines for a one of a kind hearty lunch. We had our meals at the famed Exotik Restaurant.

The church of Pakil was our second destination after we left Morong in the province of Rizal. Pakil is already part of Laguna. It is known for its sweet lazones,wooden handicrafts and its centuries-old church of San Pedro de Alcantara.

I never knew that a church this elegant exists along the Laguna Loop area. It was my friend Gian of Iloilo on Foot told me about the beautiful church of Morong. I then quickly searched the Internet for some photos of it, and yes, I was so amazed at its beauty.

Tsk tsk, this is a bad sign. Imagine this: Two consecutive trips aborted, in a span of a little less than two weeks. But no, I won’t take this as a bad omen.
