Nagcarlan Church
Posted on June 2, 2007
The last church we visited when we recenlty had our Laguna Loop Tour is the church of Nagcarlan. This church really looks magnificent with its red bricks. The latest claim-to-fame of this centuries-old church is that this was used as the setting for ABS-CBN’s telenovela “Kampanerang Kuba.” the story revolves around a hunchbacked lady who used to ring the bells of the church.

ah.. yan pala ung sa kampanerang kuba! kahit di ko pinanuod yun.. natandaan ko.. para kasing nakakatakot ung simbahan na yan… century old na kasi eh..
thanks for the trivia
need it in my tour guiding class
used to study beside the church..
used to climb up the tower.. caught by the bell man and locked me and my friends and in the morning reported to the guidance counselor and asked to clean the ground..
used to go to his church and stand outside as if really listening to the mass..
used to get “ostiya” with my sakristan friends and have it as snack..
used to watch bats hanged on the ceilings..
used to check the back of the altar as they said its the backdoor or short-cut to a tunnel leading to mt. banahaw and the underground cemetery..
used to play football “soccer” outside during highshool days..
used to watch the local passion of Christ yearly on lenten seasons..
used to stand outside in the morning to sing “Lupang Hinirang”
used to get in every morning for a morning prayer.. (pull-up your pants to check if you’re wearing white socks, black leather shoes and robertsons, Mr. tubana will check your haircut - should be above the ear or 3 x 5)
used to march in front for CAT, COLTC, whatever..
used to clean the ground if you’re late.
Pax Christi!
Regards to Msgr. Dalmacio Eusebio…
