Salcedo Saturday Market
Posted on June 7, 2007
I have known about this early morning activity since last year. But as usual, due to my work schedule, I dont have much time to go here, even if the house I’m renting is less than 1 kilometer away.
The parking lot and park at the Tordesillas Street, Salcedo Village Makati City is turned into a one big Market every Saturday morning. People from all walks of life gather at this spot to buy their household needs. I have seen several expats pushing their grocery carts, some call center agents, looking for a healthy breakfast, and some ordinary Pinoys buying some fruits and shellfish.
The Salcedo Saturday Market has everything what you need. From fresh flowers, lechon baka, fruits, spices and seafoods. You name it, and they all got it here.
I myself enjoyed shopping in this litte joint of Makati. I have bought several food stuffs for my breakfast and lunch, some frozeon goods, fruits and a whole lot more. What really surprises me is that although the Salcedo Market does not advertise, it is still being swarmed by lots of people because of the word-of-mouth. I have also seen some families bringing their children at the market to experience what we call the passion for shopping.
Watch out for my Salcedo Saturday Market v2 post!
