The Day I wore a Red Kimono
Posted on July 4, 2007
It was a hot Saturday morning when my friends from SykscraperCity decided that we go to this Japanese Restaurant somewhere at The Fort area. I have been seeing this little Jap resto since last year, but I din’t have the chance to dine here. Then just last week, I finally wore my Red Kimono…
Red Kimono is a resto offering Japanese fare at the ground floor of the Fort Strip, Fort Bonifacio Taguig Philippines.
For a start we had Chicken and mixed Kamimeshi. Then comes the sukiyaki. and then later on, a barrage of sushi came to our table. Oh no, this is not just a lunch. This is fiesta! So much food in front of us! Hahaha I don’t know where to start first. But one thing’s for sure: the food’s great.

Teka Maki and Crispy Tuna Sushi
And what about the sushi? We had the usual suspects: The California Maki and Teka Maki. We also had one-of-a-kind-i-just heard-that type of sushi like Salmon Sushi in Cream Cheese. Oh dear Lord, soft slices of pink salmon wrapped with rice and Philadelphia Cream Cheese. Tastes Hevenly. I guess this is our most ordered sushi. I think we had 4 or 5 orders of these. Then they also have the Crispy Tuna Sushi. It’s California Maki made even better by dipping each sushi slice to a tempura batter seasoned with teriyaki sauce. And to finally end out 11AM-4PM lunch, we had Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert.
My take on red Kimono? It’s all worth the 495++ bill!
