Gloria Jeans, mahjong, and a whole lot more!

Posted by on August 5, 2007

Haven’t you noticed, I did not post for the last 3 (or was it 4?) days? There are actually tons of reasons why I decided not to post new entries. Although I have been tempted to post, but I keep myself from accessing my Admin panel.

So what can you expect when three college friends meet here in Manila? It was wild. really! Last week I fetched Portia who is currently based in Boracay, at the Centennial Airport. Thirty minutes later, Odj also arrived from Bacolod via Philippine Airlinies. Both of them were scheduled to go to Singapore 2 days later. We had so much fun. The last time I meet these two friends was last January during the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City. But our meeting then was no longer than 10 minutes, as I was already rushing to go to the airport. (Only to find out that my flight was delayed).

So shop we did almost everyday. Eat here, eat there. Buy here and buy there. Photo here and photo there. Coffee here and coffee there. Then a few days back, Odj brought her laptop when we meet at the Gloria Jeans Cafe. I used the laptop the entire afternoon, chatting at YM. While I was checking the folders of the laptop, I found that it has Mahjong! Hahaha my fascination for this Chinese game was rekindled. Kaya ayun, I played mahjong for 3 straight days. ahaha. Last night we were in Podium, playing mahjong again.

HETO NA NAMAN

Then just before the week ended, another storm hit me again. Hay… when will I ever learn from my friggin mistakes. I know I made mistakes, but I’m sure of what I said. I REALLY MEANT WHAT I SAID. Hay, just to be fair to the other person involved, I will not just blog the details.

NEW EYEGLASSES

I went to an optical yesterday afternoon, and I was a bit surprised that the grades of my eyes have increased, more than what I expected. Since last year I have a 150/100 eyesight. That is why I always wear clear contacts when I go out. But after analysing my eyes, the optometrist handed me out a printout which reads that I now have a 150/200 eyesight. Gee. I nee to get a new set of contacts or eyeglasses before I go back to school.

MASSKARA FESTIVAL 2007

I was talking to a friend last night and he said that last year’s Massraka Festival champion, Baranggay Alijis is now busy preparing for the upcoming Masskara Festival 2007 in Bacolod City. My friend confirmed that he will once again join this year’s streetdance competition. He also join last 2005, but skipped last year because he choreographed a group competing in the Schools Category, which eventually won 1st runner up. I asked him to send me a copy of this years’s music of the festival. And I have also asked him to inform the Alijis Choreographer to make an extra mask and headress for me, which I will pay when I get there. Yeeeeha! Excited na ako!
