Today’s shopping day!

I woke up early today to drop by at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business at HV dela Costa Street, in Makati. I actually went there to enroll in Mandarin Class which will start sometime this September.

After finishing some paper work, I breezed to the Fully Booked in Bonifacio High Street to buy some books. The bookshop is just soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool! 4 levels of assorted books, coffee, an art gallery, DVDs and CDs all underone roof! It’s a perfect getaway for peeps (like me!) who prefers to go shopping alone.

I’m so overwhelmed at the number and the titles of the books displayed at the shelves. I was just controlling myself not to do compulsive buying. Or else I might spend thousands and not finishing these books at all.

So by lunchtime, I finally decided to buy a Philippine Architecture and Basic Mandarin books. It cost me approximately, 1,200 pesos.

And for lunch, I had donuts at my fvorite doughnut store: Krispy Kreme, where else? ahaha

SM Hypermarket Blogger Meet v2

It was the night of all night. The night we all bloggers have been waiting for. It was another moment for us to expand our network and meet new blogger friends. It was the second edition of the SM Hypermarket Blogger Meet. The event was actually called for the awarding of the SM Hypermarket Blog writing contest. The grand prize of the said contest is a free trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Look! Mrs. Fields baked the best cookies for me!

Last Tuesday, I flew from Bacolod City via Philippine Airlines only with one thing in my mind: the launch of Mrs. Fields Cafe along UN Avenue in Manila.

So when the plane touched down, I immediately went home in Pasay City, left my bags, and rushed to the new and hip MRs. Fields Cafe. I was drizzling when I arrived at the UN Avenue LRT train station, so what I did was to go to the cafe Quentin Tarantino style riding on a pedicab.

And the food? Oh boy. Its delicious. Simply the best cookies in town! Pasta and mini-burgers were also served. I really love that rocky road brownie flavor which has chocolate on its top layer and marshmallows inside. Ang sarap! And the gellato tastes great too. Actually their coffee is also good. Freshly brewed piping hot caffeine fix after the sweets is nothing but a perfect combination.

A big big thanks to Jayvee for initiating this event. More cookies to come!

I will be at the SM Hypermart Blog Meet later tonite. See you there fellas!

Gallivanting around the City of Smiles

While I was in Bacolod, I had the cahnce to meet my friends from the Skyscrapercity forum last Sunday. The five of us met in SM City Bacolod had a few chitchat then we decided to move to Kuppa, one of the gourmet coffee shops in Bacolod. I can say that Kuppa’s cofee is actually good, but pegged with a provicial price tag. In short, it was cheap. Knowing that I spend more than a hundred fifty pesos for a cup of coffee full of milk bubbles. Haheheh
