22nd Negros Trade Fair
Posted on September 18, 2007
One of the Ilonggo events I never fail to attend is the annual Negros Trade Fair. As the news report stated, it is already their 22nd year and still going strong. The annual Negros Trade Fair is organized by the Association of Negros Producers.
Known for their high quality furnitures, jewelries, accessories, and foodstuffs, the local producers of Bacolod and the towns and cities of Negros Occidental from San Carlos down to Hinobaan, will once again showcase their best produce. This year’s theme is Fresh Produce.
Expect old and mundane stuffs turned into something new and exciting. Two years ago, it was my first time to try a classic Ilonggo delicacy recreated with a twist: the Crispy Piaya. It was a actually your regular muscovado-flavored piaya made very thin to make it ultra crispy.
There was also the flavored barquillos. There’s pandan, strawberry, uber, and all other flavors that you can think of.
Last year there was the ChocoBarqs. Its the usual double short barquillos filled with polvoron and dipped in chocolate.
More of these stuff at the annual Negros Trade Fair. From October3-8, 2007 at the Rockwell Tent, Makati City

Uy, mukhang okay yang ChocoBarqs ah. Available ba yan dito kahit walang trade fair? I don’t think makakapunta ko eh T_T
bihira sya available kahit sa bacolod. Sugarlandia ang may gawa nun.
How I wish na makapunta din ako sa trade fair
