Sugarnot’s sugar-free goodies

I know this is uber delayed. But better late than never.
A few weeks back, I was invited to join the Sugarnot!’s Blogger Breakfast. Sugarnot! is a cozy cafe/resto/deli that offers foods and goodies in sugar free, low-carb, and low fat fashion. Initially, I really thought that sugar-free low fat and low carb foods taste bland. Or have this distinct aftertaste which lingers on the palate for hours.

But no, Sugarnot! is different. Their foods actually look and tastes almost like the real thing. For a start we had coffee. Sugarnot!’s coffee is from Cafe Mauro. One of the top Italian Coffee brands. My warm cup of macchiato is actually sweet and frothy. Just the way it should be. Sans the killer sugar.

For breakfast I had pancakes and sausages with slices of fresh fruits on the side. The pancakes are fluffy. but it doesn’t really have the same sweet taste of your regular pancakes. The chicken sausages are the winner. It’s delicious, with all the real goodness of chicken. But definitely low in fat low in carbohydrates, and definitely zero in sugar.
After our breakfast comes the best part: the desserts! Many would say that a sugar free dessert would me come out as savory as the real thing. But no. Many goodies actually taste god. Or shall I say, tasted way better than the real thing!

One dessert comes after another. It was a parade of sweeties, in fact! for a start, we had New York cheesecake. And being a confessed cheesecake addict that I am, I won’t complain at their version. It great actually. We then had Tiramisu. And the runaway winner of them all: The Last Temptation Chocolate cake. It looks like your typical chocolate cake. And it even tastes like the real stuff! I can’t believe that what I’m eating is sugar free. Twas a blast actually.

The Last Temptation

I love their tiramisu.
