Byahilo goes to the Negros Trade Fair!

Every year, I always make it a point to free my calendar during the annual Negros Trade Fair. The event is being put up by the Association of Negros Producers. The force behind the famous Negros Showroom.
This year, there were less exhibitors but the ingenuity of the Negrense people never faltered. As usual, new products made from Bacolod City as well as from the towns of Negros Occidental were showcased. Most are of export quality.
Anything and everything about Negrense is there. From the delectable Inasal, to the tasty KBL soup (Kadyos, Baboy Langka), The Guaple pie of Silay, the finest jewelries, well-made furnitures and lovely home accessories.
What really caught my attention in this year’s exhibit are the bags and purses made from tarpaulins. Tarpaulins are these strong white material used in making huge billboard advertisements. After its marketing run, these tarps become a huge trash. Some brilliant minds experimented by creating bags and purses made out of these tarpaulin trash. It was quite funny seeing the faces of showbiz celebrities made into these unique bags.

The chicken inasal looks so inviting. Yum.
I love chicken inasal. I will be in Bacolod on Nov. 3 pero balikan lang from Iloilo.
Happy Halloween!
