Byahilo goes to the Trinoma Blogger Food Tour

It was an afternoon fiesta filled with fun and food. Yesterday, 150 bloggers were invited to join a Food Tour organized by the Philippines’ newest shopping mall, Trinoma and Yehey!

Before the tour started, we all gathered at the Trinoma Cinema Lobby for some meet and greet. Familiar faces were there. And some more new faces showed up to join the food tour. The bloggers were then divided into five color groups. Just before we actually started to food tour, we were handed out a loot bag which contains chocolates from Hershey’s, a neatly wrapped sketch pad from Ayala, an issue of Yummy Magazine and a whole lot more.

Then the tour started. Our first destination was Breadtalk. I was so amazed at how they name their bread. Very creative! There’s the Hot Chick, Crouching Tiger Hidden Bacon, Mr. Beans and some more interesting stuffs. After almost three hours of resto hopping eating from one food joint to another, they tour ended with a band performance. Prizes were also given away. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to catch the band performance because I have to rush to another very important appointment last night.

So all in all, there are some foods, that I can say…”mmmm pwede na…” then there are those that can make me say “Whoa! I need some more!” Here are my favourite picks from the Trinoma Food Tour yesterday:

- Cheesecake from Holy Cow- Geez, they know my weakness. They know how to fulfill my sweet and sinful desire. Oh, do you know that I ended up finishing 3 slices of the cheesecake last night? Ahahaha

- Chocolate Cake from Holy Cow – it’s moist and decadent. Very sinful but equally delicious as well.

- Creamy Mussels in wine from La Maison – Wow. I could never imagine how they reinvented the mussels. Cooked in cream and white wine. It’s superbly delicious. A must-try!

- Bibingka with queso de bola and itlog na maalat from Mangan – They lowly bibingka, reinvented Kapampangan style. Great for afternoon snacks

- KBL from Bacolod Inasal – I’m biased here. KBL stands for Kadyos Baboy Langka. The three main ingredients of the soup commonly cooked in Bacolod and Iloilo. After finishing a bowl, I feel like I’m just in my dear hometown, Bacolod.

Special mention also to La Maison for their cutesy interior. I love their “inverted Umbrella motif. Hossein Persian Kebab has, I guess, one of the best interiors. They have individual spaces for intimate dining separated by colored fabrics. Cool!

The Trinoma Blogger Food Tour was a big success. It has allowed us to explore every nook and cranny of the mall and allowed us to taste the very best of what they can offer.

A BIG BIG THANK YOU to the people from Ayala, Trinoma Mall and Yehey! MORE PHOTOS HERE
