Iloilo Dinagyang Festival 2008 Winners and Photos

I’m back here in Manila. Anyway the Dinagyang Festival 2008 in Iloilo City Philippines was a huge success. Thousands of locals, and foreign tourists flocked to Iloilo to witness the annual celebration of the Dinagyang Festival.
Anyway, here’s the list of winners of yesterday’s competition:
GRAND CHAMPION: Tribu Paghidaet
1st runner-up, Tribu Ilonganon
2nd runner-up, Tribu Taga Jaro

me and my huney kevin went to iloilo for vacation,,
we really had a great time there with our friend rob.nice dinagyang festival.
me with my kevin and hes friend rob,,it was our first time on that place and we really had a great time,they took bunch of nice pictures in street,,
its all great because they’re professional photographer,,oppps they also trained me,,yeahp
we hope to come back on that place again,,,

DINAGYANG INDEED DESERVES THE TITLE AS THE BEST TOURISM EVENT IN THE COUNTRY.MORE POWER TO DINAGYANG.HOPE NEXT YEAR MORE PARTICIPANTS WILL JOIN AND MORE CONTIGENT FROM OTHER PROVINCES WILL JOIN TOO.MORE POWER!!
ganda talaga ng performance ng tribu paghidaet sa youtube. ganda ng pagkahalo ng kaunting trumpet sa music, nag bblend talaga! at sa backup dancers na nakikipagtagisan ng sayaw sa warriors at the same time, nagkasabaysabay pa ng sayaw, hanep!
bat yung ibang tribu parang hindi marunong mag sayaw ang mga backup at warrior nila? paputol-putol ang music at sayaw. dapat continues like tribu pahidaet until the end.
yung ilonganon pangit ng sayaw kaya natalo. please! don’t get offended. nag sasabi lang ng totoo. music nila maganda sana pero putol2x. sana magworkshop pa ng sayaw mga choreographer ng mga tribu para talagang ma excite pa ang mga tao kahit simple lang like sa tribu san pedro. simple pero maganda ang kinalalabasan.
nice pix talga! i like it!sana sa susunod i count naman nila ang difficulties of steps like ung ginawa ng ilonganon ang hirap kaya ee xecute ung salakot at ang costume excellent color combination sorry to tell this pero ang tribu paghidaet marami lang sila pero sa steps thesame kung baga marami sanang magagawang exhibition ang pdghidaet dahil sa dami nila pero hanggang doon lang ang nakayanan ng choreographer nila sana naman ang kunin nilang judges eh ung may knowledge sa dancing at theme ng sayaw di ung dahil sa dami ng dancers un na ang mananalo ang masasabi ko lang baduy ang nanalo ngaung dinagyang! anyway thank you sa mga photos i like it very much good luck next year
among all the festivals i cant get the dinagyang out of my mind.. a few years back it used to be cebu and the sinulog now it is iloilo dinagyang and the paraw regatta!
i like the costume of tribu atub2x. they should have won the costume. best in headress even in different angle.
