3rd World Pyro Olympics new schedule

OK, so the postponement of the 3rd World Pyro Olympics is confirmed. I got the confirmation news yesterday, but I only got the new schedule today. I called up La Mancha and their staff confirmed that the scheduled World Pyro Olympics 2008 will be moved to March. This fireworks extravaganza was originally set February 16 at the Esplanade, at the back of Mall of Asia in Pasay City Philippines.
The World Pyro Olympics is an annual gathering of the world’s best fireworks craftsmen and hailed as one of the biggest fireworks competition in the world. Witness as the warm summer skies of Manila Philippines brightens up in dazzling colors and patterns as nine countries compete for the most coveted title as 3rd World Pyro Olympics Champion. Tickets are pegged at PHP100 and will be available by next week. The event is still organized by the Philippines’ leading fireworks maker, La Mancha Productions. And as a host, the Philippines will be showcaising its fireworks only as a guest. Show starts at 6PM. Check the new schedule below:
May 3 2008 – China and Germany
May 10, 2008 – Canada and France
May 17, 2008 – Italy and Venezuela
May 24, 2008 – Korea and Australia
May 31, 2008 – PHILIPPINES (exhibition only)
I just called up La Mancha Productions, and asked for the tickets to the World Pyro Olympics. The Staff informed me that the 2008 World Pyro Olympics tickets will be on sale starting next week at the TicketNet and TicketWorld. However, they cannot still confirm the ticket prices right now. (I wonder why… Hmmmm)

It’s nice to hear there will actually be a Pyro Olympics this year, at least. Last time I heard it was cancelled completely.
A bit late, but a summer schedule sounds good nonetheless.

Rica: tickets are priced at 100. if you get the 100 peso tickets youll also be able to see their low-flying fireworks which is equally beautiful as well.

thanks for posting the sched. tot it wont push through. do the 100 peso fee guarnatee a convenient space/place to watch? coz the last time i went there to see the MOA compound was really full packed even hours before the show! can u also post specific time for the show and the date for the finals/championship… nd the fone number please for ticket reservations. I wrote to La Mancha about ticket availability in Feb and they responded that they should be available through TicketNet and Ticket World by March 8. I checked both sites and they don’t have it yet. Getting nervous na ma move or cancelled na naman! I just wrote to them again, hope to hear good news. Will keep everyone posted.
March 17 pa daw available ang tickets according to La Mancha. They’re cutting it pretty close!

hehehe! i think many people went on April 5! I wish that May 3 will be the final schedule! they have been giving lousy schedules!! This just means that they should do some mind blowing stuff for all the anticipation!
