Exploring the tranquil Talisay Batangas
Posted on March 3, 2008
I have been to Talisay Batangas countless times. Talisay is one of the gateways leading to the second summer capital of the Philippines: Tagaytay City. Tagaytay, which boasts of cool climate even during summer season has a great commanding view of the Taal Volcano and the Taal Lake.
For the adventurers, one can hike the Taal Volcano itself (it is a dormant volcano) and wander at its natural beauty or rent a horse and climb the volcano’s peak. And one of the seven gateways in going to Taal is the town of Talisay. Talisay is also known for its tilapia sold fresh daily at the market.
To go to Taal, one would just need to go to the boat terminal near the Talisay Market. The boat leaves the terminal once it is full already.
