Aliwan Fiesta is one of the highly-anticipated events in the Philippine Travel Calendar. Imagine seeing the country’s biggest and the most colorful festivals all in one sitting. No need to hop from one province to another. No need to spend huge sums of money for the airfare, or bus trip just to see them dancing on the streets. The first aliwan Champion Halad contingent is from Alamada not Pigcawayan.
Halad Sto.Nino Festival was organized by majority of ilonggo communities composed of 7 towns(Midsayap,Alamada,Pigcawayan,New Aleosan,Matalam & 2 others) in North Cotabato & celebrated every 3rd wk of January at Midsayap town.
Ilonggo dominate aliwan fiesta from Halad to Dinagyang to Pintados de Pasi.
Halad Festival is held annually at Midsayap, North Cotabato and mainly organized by the people of the Municipality of Midsayap.
I think it would be fair enough to have it stated that Halad is from Midsayap specifically, or North Cotabato in General and not Pigcawayan!

Check out the latest reply in dinagyang.com, somebody post that Banate will join the Aliwan Fiesta. Nabrief na kuno ang mga participants and they are going to Manila on April 30. Daw kagamo haw? hehehe!

hi..the Pasang-padang festival of parang shariff-kabunsuan ARMM is always on the runners-up so keep up the good work parang……actually i was one of the dancers so i know how parang work on it…gogogo..good luck
