BYAHILO’s once in a lifetime adventure experience in Coron Palawan

Posted by Enrico Dee on June 11, 2008

The Coron Palawan trip was an experience of a lifetime. Before our departure, all I see in my mind are the pristine beaches, limestone cliffs, and colourful fishes. All I am expecting was a sun, sea and sand adventure. Little did I know that there was so much in store for us waiting to be uncovered in Coron Palawan!

In three days and two nights, I was able to hike a mountain, climbed a limestone cliff, swam in two lakes, fed fishes with pan de sal, seen a real Japanese warship buried at the bottom of the sea, walked through a wobbly footbridge, and had a relaxing dip at a hot spring.

It’s more than the usual adventure that I am so used to. The trip has actually tested my limits. I never imagined seeing myself climbing a limestone cliff! But it was so cool. I can actually feel the adrenaline rush while hanging on to the rocks, scraping my hands and knees on the process.

And passing through a wobbly footbridge before going to our cottage? Twas scary. I mean, I hate stuffs like this. I also don’t like the idea of passing through a hanging bridge. Much more a wobbly footbridge with mangroves planted on its side.

And it was my first time to actually swim with a real Japanese sunken ship under me! The ship’s large. And some fishes have actually claimed it now as their home. Some corals have already grown on its sides.

Details about my Coron Palawan adventure soon! The trip to Coron Palawan with Gail & Marc, Nina Fuentes and Ferdz Decena was made possible in part by SEAIR.
