Tacloban Leyte Pintados Kasadyaan Festival 2008 Streetdance results and winners

The Leyte Pintados Kasadyaan Festival Competition is finally over. The Pintados Kasadyaan Streetdance contest is organized by the Province of Leyte. The Pintados festival’s highlight is the streetdance competition of all the festivals from all over Leyte Samar and Biliran. This year 19 festivals participated in this annual colorful extravaganza. This year, the town of Abuyog Leyte was able to sucessfully defend its crown as the grand champion of the 2008 Pintados Kasadyaan Festival.
Grand Champion: Buyogan Festival of Abuyog Leyte
1st runner up: Karatong Festival of Dulag Leyte
2nd runner up: Alikaraw Festival of Hilongos Leyte
3rd runner up: Bato-Balane Festival of Bato Leyte
4th runner up: Pamilig Festival of Santa Fe, Leyte
Best in Festival Music: Buyogan Festival
New also spread that the Buyogan Festival and Karatong Festival will be sent to Manila to represent the province of Leyte for the Aliwan Fiesta 2009.

Too bad you missed the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival. My siblings who are both home (Tacloban) said that the Pintados-Kasadyaan Festival was better. I hope you get to see it for yourself some day..next year perhaps? =)
