Bicol Penafrancia Festival 2008 Schedule

Bicolandia’s biggest Catholic festival, and probably Philippines’ biggest Marian devotion event is set to unfold in Naga City once again.
Devotees of Our Lady of Penafrancia are expected to come in droves as they pay homage to the Bicol Region’s patroness they all call Ina.
The highlights of this Penafrancia fiesta is the Traslacion or the transfer of the image of Our Lady of Penafrancia from the Penafrancia Basilica back to the Naga Cathedral. The distance between the church may not be that very long but the transfer takes hours due to the huge number of devotees participating at the event.
Another Highlight of the Penafrancia feast is the fluvial procession where the image of the Bicol’s patroness is brought to the sea.

I’m so disappointed because I’m 1 week too late for the Penafrancia festival. I booked my Naga tickets Sept. 27
hope to see again the penafrancia image and festival going to naga on sept 17 to 21 happy fiesta to all of you dear bicolanos especially to mrs. ellen mirabel benavidez and joelle and donna benavidez ……..see you ……waning g.benavidez
