Pick Manila: The newest lifestyle weekend Market in the City
Posted on September 14, 2008
Last week some food, travel and lifestyle bloggers went to Celadon Residences in San Lazaro Manila. Celadon is the first community development project of Alveo in the nation’s capital.
While the gated community features chic ultra modern houses, they also feature something that is new in the community: a weekend market.
Weekend markets are not actually new in Metro Manila. There’s the Salcedo Market every Saturday at the Salcedo Village. The Legazpi Market in Makati and the Lung Center Market in Quezon City, which I have yet to explore during Sundays.
Celadon’s weekend Market is known as Pick Manila. and it will be held all Sundays of September.
Just like the Salcedo Market which I am very much familiar with, Pick Manila is much smaller in scale but also offers great products for the whole family.
Fresh fruits like oranges, rambutan, durian, apples are available. For the sweet tooth, there’s just so many products to chose from: leche flan, chocolate cakes, brownies, tarts, cookies and a whole lot more.
various handicraft products are also for sale like throw pillows, lamp shades, and so much more. And to make the shopping a truly enjoyable experience, there are dining tables for those who would opt to take their lunch here.
Prices are quite reasonable. And definitely a new destination for the weekend market lovers.
Celadon Residences is located just beside SM San Lazaro.
