Bacoor may be known for its rich history and Philippine revolutionary legacies, but it is also known for at least two culinary specialties ? tahong/ talaba and halo-halo!

It was a night each and every blogger looked forward to. The so-called ?Oscars? of the Philippine Blogging Community.
Last night marked the 2008 Philippine Blog Awards where blogs of outstanding value were given recognition. I was included in the shortlist as finalist in the Travel Category but as always, never expect to win. Being included as a finalist is already a great honor for me.

The Philippine Blog Awards Trophy
President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has signed the Presidential Proclamation 1625, declaring October 1 as a regular holiday in the observance of the last day of the Muslim month of Ramadan known as Eidl’l Fitr or the Hari Raya Puasa.
“In order to bring the religious and cultural significance of Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, it is necessary to declare Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, as a regular holiday throughout the country” the proclamation reads.
