.MOV International Digital Film Festival in Robinons Galleria

Just recently, I attended the press conference of the 3rd .MOV (pronunced as dot-mov) International Digital Film Festival.

This is the first time that this digital film festival will be shown in Manila. Several digital independent films from other countries will also be featured in this years digital film fest.

The .MOV Digital Film Festival will be held on September 30 to October 7 at the Movieworld, Robinson’s Galleria. This event will also be screened simultaneouly in Bacolod, Iloilo and Dumaguete.

.Mov presents to us that making movies by digital means is a cheaper way rather than using the old and traditional films. Undeniably, many Filipinos are yet to discover the beauty of these digital films. But digital filmakers are already making waves in the international arena by winning praises fro ne international film festival to another.

.MOV is a very good venue for these lesser-knowndirectors to showcase their masterpieces since there are only a handful of cinemas in the country who is willing to screen these kind of film. Many of them (the cinema owners) would prefer to gain more profit than let the people watch quality films. Thanks to Robinson’s Movieworld for hsting this great event. The 3rd .MOV International Digital Film Festival is presented by Filmless Films in cooperation with Robinsons Movieworld, Geiser Maclang Communications, Inc., Parco, Swiftsure Group, Inc., Click the City, Brown Monkeys Jam 88.3, Terno, Dakila, Video 48, FHM, Backdoor and LVN .
