There are two experiences in my life that have been significant when talking about using Jansport bag. The first one was back when I was 12 when my parents had a really big fight. The tension was so intense that my mother and I had to pack our things and move out of the house for a while with my little brother. I remember using my classic red-maroon Jansport bag on our way to my lola’s house in Laguna. During the trip I was crying on one side of that bag while holding it. That’s why I was so surprised with this contest because that moment that I mentioned is something that I can’t forget. The other story was when the first time that I was permitted to sleep overnight with my friends. That was when I was already a 4th year college student. Just imagine all those overnights that I missed before that day. I was really excited. It was an overnight swimming in Pansol with my college barkada. And of course, the bag that I was using was a black Jansport bag.I super love my Jansport backpacks!

I’m into photography and I have several camera and lenses. One time, my fellow photographer borrowed my camera bag and he failed to return it in time. Unfortunately, we have a shoot in Bolinao so what I did is just put my camera gears and lenses in my bag. Life goes on as they say…

Did anybody steal your wallet or any valuable things from your bag? When you’re traveling or passing along unknown street or city, how do you keep your attention in your bag or belonging?

I remember, it was in my college years. I travel 1 to 2 hours back and forth to my house & school back then. In my way, I have witnessed and almost been victimized by bag thief. As I can recall, it happened more than twice to me. Luckily, I was using a soft backpack then. When this robber/pickpocket/thief (whatever you call them) tried to open my bag, I instantly felt and caught them in action. I have saved the valuable items in my pack!

That’s why, even now that I’m already working in business/corporate world, I don’t use shinny, chic nor too attractive bag. I still travel more than hour every day to get to my office and to get back home. Better be safe and free! I always grab and go with my most comfy secured black backpack.

I’m a busy mom, so every time I go out of the city I would bring with me backpack that I can put all the things I needed on my trip, I usually bring with me snack/food, H2O,. bottled juice because food sold on terminals are really very expensive and I only borrow the backpack from my daughter, so how I wish to have my own packback, please count me in on your promo, thanks.

hello! i’m so happy to have found your site by googling “jansport backpack” because i’d like to have one for christmas :) yay! here’s my bag story:

i was five years old when my dad went to japan for work. his absence made me a headache to my mom because of two reasons: i terribly missed him and that he’s not around to punish me for my “kakulitan”. i was very sensitive and emotional then so i had crazy thoughts of running away from home everytime my mom gets angry at me.

i cannot forget my first bag ever: a green pull-string cotton bag with japanese cartoons and lettering on it. that’s where i put my 2 pairs of shirt, shorts, underwear and towel. something good for 2 days, i thought. there were times that i pack some more for a week away and then i’d have that fat bag hidden at the far left corner, deep into the huge cabinet that i share with my siblings. everytime i felt unwanted and sad, i dig up and hug my “runaway bag” so tight until i convince myself that mom pinched and pulled my ears because she loves me, and that i love my family so much, i can’t live without them and didn’t want to hurt them by giving in to that very bad idea. or maybe i was just too coward to do so because i knew that there’s nowhere else to go.

remembering those days makes me feel weird because i can’t believe having that side of me at a very young age. i can’t remember when i stopped packing up to runaway but so far, NEVER in my entire 20 plus years of living have i had the full courage to leave home to rebel. i’m still living with my parents until now and they’re actually encouraging me to move out, go abroad, and settle down. but NO, i’m not leaving! not yet!

about that bag, no it didn’t serve as a travel necessity for me at all, not even an outlet of creativity. but it was very useful for me as a kid because it was my punching bag or shock absorber of innocent emotions. i don’t keep that kind of runaway bag anymore in my closet, peksman.

but a new jansport backpack wouldn’t hurt! maraming salamat po! pasensya na po, medyo mahaba.

my backpack is very important to me ever since the trend started. It really serve as my second closet especially when i travel coz i can put a lot things on it. Beside giving a lot of space for my things i, it is also very convenient compared to a “maleta”.

I am a certified backpacker. I love to travel and a packpack keeps all my things together safely, attached to me. It gives me a sense of security knowing that all of my belongings are wthin reach and sight. The only disadvantage is that when it is hanging at my back, it beomes second skin to me that I forget I have to manuever my body with its extension. I usually hit people when riding a bus, walking in small alleys or finding my seat in the plane. Thank God my travel companion is so used to me that she keep on reminding me me, “o bag mo!” Nothing, not even that inconvenience will make me change my travel prefence for packpack.

Yung article ko tuwing naaalala ko medyo natatakot parin ako kahit na tapos na, sana magkaroon ako ulit ng bag. Ang mga natira na lang sakin ay ang warranty card ng bag.
The story is about my favorite the 1st bag that i bought for myself which is full of precious memories.

Hello~ A friend introduced me to this site, so… Allow me to share one of my backpack stories.

Back then in High School, I’d usually carry all of my school supplies (large books included) in my backpack. It was all too heavy, and everyday I’d have to climb several floors just to reach our classroom. I was always being teased as a girl scout back then by my classmates, and even my cousins, because I never leave anything in school, and even sometimes bring some of my classmates’ things with me.

So then vacation came, and there goes the usual province trip. Since our province is a mountainous one, my cousins planned to hike and camp — and they originally planned to camp out without me because they thought that I was physically weak (read: just because I’m a girl) and I’d get tired easily (just because I’m fat). If only my Dad didn’t get angry at them, they wouldn’t have included me.

So then the camp started. My cousins brought their bags, and brought little, while I brought a lot — water, food and some clothes. They started laughing because they think that I wouldn’t be able to last in the camp.

    But I proved them wrong.

Halfway, while climbing the mountain, they were all exhausted while I’m not. I even brought my other cousin’s bag, and I got to offer them my hand towel and water. When we got to our destination, instead of setting up the camp, they stayed there to rest, and just decided to go back to our house in the province — while I got to roam around and see the beauty of the surroundings.

When we got back to our house there, they were all tired. My aunts and uncles wondered why I’m still awake, and my Daddy smiled and told them, “Mahilig kasi syang magbitbit ng bag, kahit mabigat pa yan.”

(Pardon me if you see some grammar errors and some things off. XD)
