My bag is like my bahay to me. Wherever I go, it’s full of stuffs which I don’t know if I really can use within the day. I can’t live without my bag. All I need in life is in there.

my backpack for all seasons
Backpack…bagpack…or when I was a kid, I used to call it bakpag. Whatever you call it, it’s simply a bag…As simple as it is but it’s one of the most important things in my life.I cannnot go on with my life without my bag…MY BAG is always with me or I AM always with my bag?Either way,?it just?show how?attached?I?AM?with my bag?or how attached?MY BAG is to me.hahaha! )
I use it anywhere…for all the seasons of my life.
My bag, I should say, is one of the things that helped me climb the ladder of success.
It started during my elementary years.I remember using it when I was still studying. It has been a FRIEND to me.Very LOYAL because ‘she’ didn’t leave me.My bag is ‘someONE’ who’s with me when I go to school and the ‘ONE’ who’s still with me when I go home (or else, if I went home without my bag,’patay’ kay Nanay. Uso pa naman ang taguan ng bag.) It’s where I placed all my notebooks including my SLUMNOTEbook! It’s the permanent shelter of my books that I carried everyday to school…and sad to say that not all those books I’m carrying will be used that day. It’s so heavy to be carried by a LITTLE girl who’s so THIN back then. So don’t try to PUSH me or else you’ll see me on the floor rolling down…and CRYING! I’m just praying that in everyday, my bag’s STRAP will be that STRONG or else MY WORLD will FALL APART!
Aside from sheltering my important belongings, it’s also a home for the ‘not-so-important! things in my life…or should I say no importance at all. And what are those?Well, I’m talking about my elementary years and you can guess it right. Yes, I have a compartment in my bag where I put all my TRASH. It’s what our teacher told us to minimize the garbage in school…just BRING IT HOME!Oh yeah! So you see, when I went home and clean my bag, I can see all those trash…and some weren’t mine ( who put those trash in my bag? I’ll go back the next day and find out who did it to me. Time for revenge! Bwahaha! )
Speaking of small fights, don’t we also use our bag to protect ourselves? We use it panghampas ng kaklase and sometimes I pitied those bags. Their owners (including me, at times…)don’t know how to take care of their(our) bags. But, you see? A BAG is A FRIEND who will defend you against your enemies.hahaha! It’s also your protective shield under the rain. Do you still remember those days? I do.
High School days…When all the GIRLS were carrying a HANDBAG, I was carrying a BIG BAG…a BACKPACK, that is!Are they thinking I’m a TOMBOY? Of course not! I’m just STUDIOUS!(yes!that’s a fact. I was awarded the HISTORIAN of the YEAR way back my HIGH SCHOOL [musical?]days. Sounds like Jose Rizal? No. I’m just good in History, I memorized the book.haha!)The heavier the backpack, the higher grades I get.Yes!!!
Growing up,my BAG has been my BESTFRIEND. During COLLEGE days, my classmates invited me to their birthdays but my parents wouldn’t give me permission. And so, TUMATAKAS ako. At night, I will pack my things and in the morning,READY TO GO! (that’s part of my teenage rebellion years,you know!) When I was already at my friend’s house, she’d entertain some of the guests and I was LEFT ALONE. And who’s WITH ME? My BESTFRIEND…my BAG.
And so I graduated and found a good job. I was able to take some small trips( not as grandiose as yours, BYAHILO).When I travel ,(i love to travel!) I take my bag with me. And everybody will ask me why am I carrying a BIG bag.They keep wondering what’s in it . I just teluthem that EVERYTHING I NEED is INSIDE MY BAG. Shampoos, toothpaste,sanitary napkins(oops!)panties and bras(oops again!),flashlight,extra shirts, havaianas(di pa uso nun, actually!) are there. Just it case I’ll be needing those, MY BESTFRIEND WILL PROVIDE THEM FOR ME. ‘She’ll’ be keeping them anyway…and they will be very safe there because ‘she’ has A ZIPPER…That’s my BAG…MY BESTFRIEND!
[My mother passed away last Sept.16, 2006. I'm the kind of a rugged person and so she told me when she was still alive that she wants to see me carrying a BEAUTIFUL BAG...Maybe this is my chance...so LET ME WIN. After all, JANSPORT is JANSPORT. The best Backpack in town!]

My BAG is like an Oxygen i can’t live without it.
It has all the basic necessity, i need to survive in this crucial world such as cell phone, laptop, ballpen, organizer, psp, ipod, digicam, wallet, perfume, make-up, i.d. and the like.
I always have my bag whenever and wherever i go. It’s scent is like a drug to me.
