Let?s fly high again!
At least 25 countries are expected to participate in the upcoming 14th PIHABF or the Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2009 in Clark Pampanga.
The next edition of the country?s biggest air show is slated February 12-15 2009. Aside from the colourful hot air balloons, various activities are also lined up during the festival period.
There are kite flying contest, light plane show, sky jumping, Remote controlled planes exhibition and a whole lot more.
More than 100,000 spectators are expected to attend the four-day event that would be held at Clark?s Civil Aviation Complex just beside the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport.
To go to the event from Manila, take a Baguio-bound bus and alight at the Dau Bus Terminal in Dau Mabalacat Pampanga. You can take a jeepney ride or hire a tricycle that will bring you to the gate of the Clarkfield. At the Clark gate, there are lots of jeepeneys that ply the ClarkField route itself. Just tell the driver to drop you at the Hot Air Balloon Venue.

The tickets are being sold at P100. You can buy the tickets at the entrance. If you want to ride one of the hot air ballons then it will cost $250.
There are several hotels and resorts nearby: Mimosa Regency, Holiday Inn, Wild Orchid, Century Plaza, Oasis Hotel, etc.
I was there on the 15th watching the festival …It’s great! ha,ha It is actually my 2nd time going there u can check out my wacky shots on my photo gallery at my page during celebrating this big event.
By the way I am ABY 8 yr old I am on my 3rd grade in elemntary.

so the balloon ride is $250… but for how many persons?
I wish to go very near the hot air balloons for photo ops and take a ride with my family. How’s that possible? Will that cost $250? Per head or per ride?
