BYAHILO’s Back and will be on the road again!
Posted by on December 13, 2008
First of all, I would like to thank all those who sent me text messages, get well soon cards, and sent fruit baskets when I was still confined at the Makati Medical Center. I would also like so say a BIG thank you all those who visited me at the hospital: Arpee , Noreen, Nina , Melo, Gail, Marc, Karla, Juned, Edlyn and Audrey.
So what really happened? I am not totally sure whether I got the problem from the seafoods I ate or from the tap water I took before heading out. Doctors confirmed presence of Blastocystosis Hominis in my stool test. I was really really sick last Thursday, I collapsed at home, having cold sweat, lost all the water, and the electrolytes in my body. Due to extreme dehydration which was casued by severe LBM, my kidney failed to function. So the doctors have to make all the efforts to rescue my kidney and bring it back to its working condition again. Thank God, I’m out of the hospital now. No more intravenous lines, and all. I’m all OK now.
And tomorrow, I will be hitting the road again. This time, I will be off to the Ilocos Region! I will be revisiting some old familiar sites I have visited 2 years ago, and will be visitng a few new ones this time. This trip is a bit exciting as I will be travelling with other blogger friends!
Meanwhile, enjoy the photos I took while I was in: Miag ao Church in Iloilo, San Joaquin Church in San Joaquin Iloilo and the famous Baybay of Roxas city.

Talagang hindi patatalo sa sakit! Glad to have you back online

– i visited you ;o(
glad to hear your okay now ^_^
It’s nice to have you back, I was very excited to open my mail for “Byahilo” and read your article. I also suffered the same things in my teens and still up to now, I am very sensitive to drinking water from a new place though it safe to others to drink. So I would bring always with me tablets to ease the burden especially if I would visit relatives from the province, even they have bottled water, at first my stomach would rumble, then later it will turn okey, maybe it just got used to it. Well next time be coutious to take new edibles to your mouth, and bring always with you your meds, okey. Mabuhay!!!! and great to hear from you again.
