dubai, uae
I just want to suggest also.
Thanks a lot.
i want to know if bacolod will be part in this event yung masskara festival? iba talaga ang impact ng masskara compare with other native festival truly international ang styles and moves.
I would like to suggest that this event hopefully will be covered by GMA or ABS CBN so that the entire country could see it. Still not all people from Manila knows about this Festival. its a shame that people are dying to go to places and see big sports activities and concerts but for sure if all is aware about this we would make this as Manila’s great festival like of Rio. the effort of regional tribes, blood, tears and sweat are not justified if only very few percent of people knows abt this fantastic event. DOT, DECS, CHED and other related governement agencies must unite to make Aliwan as really the mother of all festivals. I dont know, if those who are organizing this event wants only to make it their own for the sake of fame and good credit, but its time to open this to all and make it known starting here in the Phils to the world. If Dinagyang, Ati atihan, Sinulog, Masakara, Moriones, Kadayawan…etc can have a good name recall to the majority of the Filipinos, Aliwan should be the number one.
Truly I say… Filipinos are much happier people than many nationalities I have seen around the world.
All the best!!!
Thats what you are trying to justify na may standard? You are only telling without realising it.Ang Dinagyang may innovation at taon taon bago lahat?
Dado Cute!
ilonggos knows how to organized festivals kaya nga streetdancing eh!kahit ilang stage o platform pa kaya ng dinagyang magpagawa!
Kaya nga ikaw na rin ang nagsabi it is a street dancing kong ginagawa nyo na may stage sa inyo sa cebu lang yan kasi even mostlty in the whole country sa street yan, even in the another countries na Festivals nasa street din,you have to respect that is the proper and usual practices of tradition because of the vital reason that it is a street dancing or Dinagyang it means that a merry making or mardigras on the streets of the city , If they perceived that the stage is really appropriate they will do that but to be exact it is not really proper or relevant for the meaning and difinition of practices for the tittle of the festival as “DINAGYANG” kaya dont put it as an example in your strides if you do not know the inner meaning of it.Thanx kaya paulit ulit siguro because you are using it as a murky example in your statement without knowing the facts or practices of others.
thanks…
For me, sa pagiikot ko never kong nakita na ang competition for street dancing , mga mardigras kahit dyan sa pilipinas at kahit sa buong mundo na nilalagyan ng stage dahil contradiction o kabaliktaran yan sa meaning ng event at sa practice na ginagawa bilang isang street dance mardigras, lahat talaga in public streets of their respective cities, towns or municipalities pero isa lang na lugar ang alam ko na may stage sa pilipinas. It is good pa kong isa lang ang performing area nila example the Dinagyang of iloilo,i know all contingents are being judge for 5 times and of course they need to perform for 5 times also sa ibat ibang areas ng city so that the public will be given a chance to view & enjoy the event. About the crowd that is normal sa pagorganize mo ng event kailangan anticipated nayan kong pano macontrol ang audience at magcoordinate sa ibat ibang agencia ng lipunan so that you will have adequate force na magcontrol para mabigyan ng appropraite and designated spots ang mga viewer na dapat bigyan ng kaukulang pansin ng organizers.
Just only my opinion ha.
Maybe the organizers wants to own it alone that’s why for the past few years the event is not supported by other agencies. Syempre pag you own it alone, sa iyo lang ang credit. Kaya let’s stop being selfish. let us share. This is for the public. Aliw theater is really not enough for the public. I agree with what you guys are saying. The Dinagyang system is good. And also the timing for Aliwan festival is bad. I hope the organizers will consider our suggestions. but aside from that, well done for all your efforts in putting up this great event.
All the best,
Xibu
UU NGA PALA NOH PAULIT ULIT YONG ROUTINE NING LUMAD KAYA PAULIT ULIT DIN SILANG NANANALO AHAHAHAHA… WALANG WALA SA KALING KINGAN NG SINULOG YANG PANAG MAMAYABANG NIYONG DINAGYANG… 3 TIMES LANG SUMALI YONG LUMAD AT NAGIGING KAMPIYON AGAD! KAYABANGAN LANG KASI NALALAMAN NIYONG MGA ILONGGO KAYA YONG KAYABANGAN DIN ANG NAG PAPATALO SA INYO… LOOSSSEERRRSSSSS… DAPAT LANG SA LANSANGAN KAYO DOON KAYO NABABAGAY MGA TAONG GRASA WAHAHAHA… LOSSSEEERRRRSSSS
SA SINULOG YONG STREET DANCING COMPETITION DOON GINANAP SA LANSANGAN PERO YONG DANCE RITUAL MAY STAGE NA, GANYAN KAGANDA YONG SINULOG SA HARAP NG GRANDSTAND LIBO LIBO YONG MAKAKA KITA AT MAGANDANG TINGNAN PAG MAY STAGE… ALAM KO HINDI KAYA NG DINAGYANG YAN KASI ALANG BUDGET AHAHAHAHA… STAGE FOR 150 PEOPLE WITH BACK DROP, PROPS HAHAHAHA…
kawawa ang dado.. i pity you so much..
kahit wala budget, best tourism event in the country ang DINAGYANG FESTIVAL.. 3x na yan dong. ding dong dado bulaho sinunog.
Hey guys,
Sinulog and Dinagyang is totally different. Kaya there is no point of comaparing it. pasayawin mo ang dinagyang nang sinulog ay papangit ang dinagyang. pasayawin mo ang sinulog nang mabilis at maliksi like dinagyang, papangit ang sinulog. let us not complicate things na hindi naman dapat. its seems like you are comparing donut sa toothpaste. aliwan is judge by almost the same few people only. I should say the true winner is the crowd’s favorite because bakit pa ba may aliwan but to give the Filipino people a great array of festivals. Anyhow opinion nyo yan but please you are just adding bad holes sa regional goodwill.
Xibu
Every festival has thier own originality, uniqueness and style. We should not compare each other because it totally different.
Peace to all…
Mabuhay ang Pilipino…
Hey Lester,
Thank you for your nice comment. I hope there are still many people like you. Keet it up!
Xibu
LUMAD BASAKANON 3 times lang sumali at nagiging CHAMPION agad! wahahahaha yon lang… the rest is history… hahahahah….
this is just a warning to everyone.
please mind your manners, else i will be forced to closed the comments section of this blog.
wala pang list. im still waiting for the pressconference sked. thats the time they will reveal the list..

Hi Enrico,
Thank you for calling our manners.
I hope when you attend the presscon of Aliwan 2009, you will bring up some good things that was brought up here. Keep up the good work! you are the only person making this event known to all of us whole year round.
Xibu!
You know what im just observing the comments of others especially DADO CUTE is not really a nice one, nawawala ang standard ng site na to, he is just like a small kid na hindi tinuruan ng ethics it is ok to divulge your views ,openions, notions, or to reason out about your concepts or Ideas at akala nya play ground? na he can do what he wants and it is really apparent in his own statements and level of expressions in his strides.
hi sir eric thanks po sa reply. sa wakas approved na yong bakasyon ko jan sa Pinas. im so excited to witnes this Aliwan 09. This is a closed fight of most contingents from Leyte, Cebu and Iloilo.
Im waiting for the list of Contingent.
May the best Contingent Win…
I think DADO is not showing a good attitude in this site anymore ,he is just a certain anomalous and silly contributor lang. I hope ang aliwan 2009 will be a good and more changes of standard for this year.
Xibu > thanks. i will send some of the good points here to the aliwan PR team.
Ariel> I heard last time that Cebu province will send the Palawod Festival of Bantayan, since they won the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo Festival of Festivals last August. no word for the cebu city yet, but personally, I would be very very glad to see Don Sergio Osme?a Memorial High school in aliwan 2009. they were 1st runner up in SB category, if i am not mistaken. and I was really amazed at their performance.
Iloilo City will be sending Tribu Paghidaet, this years dinagyang Champion, and Kasag Festival of Banate Iloilo who won the Kasadyahan Festival, a day before the Dinagyang.
Too all, lets continue discussing the Aliwan here in an educated manner.
Cheers!
Eric
this year aliwan cebu has 4 entries…
lumad supported by cebu city, alcoy siloy supported by sinulog foundation, palawod at carmen supported by cebu province…
bakukang, i am not sure if that info is correct. because as far as i know, aliwan organizers only allow up to 2 festivals per province. and they only allow upto 24 contingents every year.
last year iloilo sent tribu paghidaet and the saad festival of leganes after they won the dinagyang festival and the kasadyahan festival, respectively. however, last year, tribu kasag was also supposed to join the aliwan, they were the 1st runner up in kasadyahan. but they did nont join the contest since there are already 2 entries from Iloilo.
I agree sa kay Enrico, kasi Iloilo before they are sending 4 entries nuon pag umpisa ng aliwan palaging lahat ng entries nasa top hindi nabibigayan ang ibang provinces ng chance to win, kaya they limit it to 2 entries only per provinces kahit anung dami pa ng provincial festival nyo dependi sa kanila kong ano ang piliin nila basta dalawa lang ang ipadala na entry bawat probinsya.
go go go DiNaGyAnG…
GO GO GO pacQuiao…
BKA MAG KASchED PO ANG
“ALIWAN” at “PACMAN-HITMAN”…
Jechone, if you just read from the top, schedule is already there.
according to my reliable friend..aliwan rules sets 2 contingent every region..correct me if im wrong.=)
mike.. you are right.. 2 per region pala.. not per province. sorry i stand corrected.
so cebu cant break the rule by sending 4 contingent,it will violate the said rules..im waiting for masskara festival to join aliwan..tani ma live music na sila kag may fund..go region 6!
____>cebu said that they will be bringing the crmen town …. well i hope xoo….
mr. enrico if u dnt mind? i just want to ask if u have updates? that Surigao city and the Province of Camiguin will join this years aliwan edition?
because their are presumptions that, they did not send any contingetnts to the recently concluded Sinulog ’09 edition because they are preparing for aliwan ’09.
PS.
except for the Province of Surigao Del Norte, they joined sinulog ’09 the Tikyabang Festival, from Gen. Luna, Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte.
Thank you,
Mr. Enrico
from
ILIGAN CITY.
wala pang updates.. just stay tuned…
for cebu, i’ll go for palawod of bantayan and silaw of carcar or siloy of alcoy or don sergio osmena high school
hi Mr. Enrico! Good Day..
Do You have the knowledge kung sino ang
mga participants from cebu? i heard that lumad will not be joining this year aliwan..
i will be glad to hear from you soon..
good luck and more powers…
