The Iloilo Kasadyahan Festival is an event normally held every Saturday before the Grand Highight of the Dinagyang Festival.
In kasadyahan Festival, dancers are not obliged to paint themselves in black and are free to use either live percussion or taped music.Various dance troupes and festivals all over the Province of Iloilo join the contest to showcase the unique Ilonggo culture.
This year’s Champion is the Kasag Festival of Banate, Iloilo which showcased the main product of the town which is the blue crab. Winning this contest gave Banate the ticket to join this years Aliwan Fiesta 2009 in Manila.

lovely photos as always! and i agree.. it’s good enough to be stolen again. hahaha!
Hi Mr Dee, your Dinagyang pictures are awesome, are you a professional photographer? What brand of camera are you using? I’m an ilongo living in San Diego, CA. I really miss Iloilo, Thanks for the pictures you shared with us, I knew some local newspapers in Iloilo stole your pictures without permission. Shame on them.
Helo Rey,
I am using a Nikon DSLR camera, nope.. i am not a professional photographer. but my main bread and butter is travel blogging.
