Right after we visited the Monastery of the Ttransfiguration in Malaybalay, we then head to the town of Sumilao, Bukidnon to check out the Alalum Falls. The falls can be easily seen from a view deck just beside the highway.
Nina and Melo have actually spotted this falls when we were on the bus going to Malaybalay. (Yes, I was sleeping during the entire 2-hour bus trip from Cagayan de Oro to Malaybalay Bukidnon!).
The moment I saw the falls, I was so amazed at its height. It’s just so majestic! The falls is approximately 148 feet or 45 m high. the falls is surrounded by a lush vegetation.
The jeepney ride from Malaybalay to Kisolon, Sumilao is almost one hour. The Alalum falls view deck is just a few meters away from the Sumilao Town Hall.
From there we then took a bus that took us to Cagayan de Oro City.
